Shuttle, but private

If you searched for a shuttle, you likely want a simple, reserved ride from Orlando International to the cruise port without renting a car. That is what this is, with one difference worth knowing before you book: nobody else rides along. A shared shuttle, by its nature, fills its seats with several unrelated parties, so its departure and its drop-offs have to suit all of them.

A private transfer carries only the people named on your reservation. It leaves the airport when your group is ready, covers the roughly 46 miles on SR 528 without detours for strangers, and stops at your terminal. For a group it can also be a single vehicle for everyone: the Sprinter holds a dozen riders and a dozen suitcases, so a large family or a circle of friends travels together from the arrivals hall to the ship.

The route

Airport to Pier, No Other Pickups

From Orlando International the vehicle takes SR 528, the Beachline, east to the terminals. With only your party aboard, nobody else's hotel is added to the way unless you asked for it.

Group arrival day

Arrivals Hall to Ship, All Together

  1. Count every traveler

Include infants and children in the passenger total, list suitcases and strollers, and choose a vehicle that holds the whole party.

  2. Met inside the terminal

Give the airline and flight number so the arrival is monitored; the chauffeur meets the group inside MCO once everyone has collected bags.

  3. Load once, leave once

All the luggage goes into the same vehicle, and it pulls away when your party is ready rather than when a timetable says so.

  4. Straight to your terminal

The drive east ends at the drop-off for your ship, with no other passengers' hotels or terminals along the way.

One Vehicle for the Whole Group

Choose by the full headcount, babies included, and by the pile of suitcases at baggage claim.

Private versus shared

What Changes When the Van Is Yours

Only your party aboard

The reservation covers the whole vehicle, so there are no strangers' bags or drop-offs in the mix.

Twelve seats in one Sprinter

Groups of up to twelve with twelve bags ride together instead of splitting between cars.

Leaves on your schedule

Departure follows your flight, which is monitored, not a posted list of departure times.

Met inside MCO

The chauffeur finds the group inside the terminal instead of sending everyone out to look for a vehicle.

Kids counted correctly

Every child is a passenger. Two child car seats plus two boosters are provided at no charge if you ask while booking.

Room for strollers and wheelchairs

Declare strollers, wheelchairs and oversized pieces before confirmation so the vehicle has space for them.

Private Transfer or Shared Shuttle?

This page cannot speak for any shuttle company's fares, timetables or pickup points, and it does not try to. The difference it can describe is structural. A shared service moves several unrelated parties in one vehicle, so its timing and its stops are a compromise among them. A private transfer is reserved for one party, so the pickup follows your flight, the only stop is one you asked for, and the drop-off is your terminal. Which suits you depends on what matters most for your trip; if it is timing, a large group or a lot of luggage, the private option is the one described here.

Doing the Group Maths

Start with heads, then bags. A party of six with six large cases fits one Suburban-class SUV. Seven people, or six people with extra luggage, is where the Sprinter makes sense: twelve seats and space for twelve bags. Beyond twelve, reserve a second vehicle alongside it, for example an SUV for the overflow. Babies count as passengers, and strollers or wheelchairs should be declared before confirmation. Capacity always depends on the seating arrangement confirmed and the size of the luggage, so if your bags are unusually large, say so in the booking notes and ask for advice.

Timing and Changes for a Sprinter Booking

Larger vehicles run on stricter terms than sedans and SUVs. Cancel a Sprinter three days or more (72 hours) ahead of the confirmed pickup and the refund is complete; any later and the whole fare stands. For sedan and SUV transfers the full-refund line is 24 hours. The minimum notice to book an MCO pickup is two hours, but a group depends on one vehicle being free, so reserve as soon as the flights are ticketed and the headcount is firm.

Why private

Why Travelers Book a Private Ride to the Port

The cruise starts at the gangway. The 46 miles between a runway and that gangway are the part worth handing to someone else.

  • Permitted at the Port's Curb

Port Canaveral restricts terminal access to prearranged, permitted commercial transport. This service holds permits at the port, at MCO and at Orlando Sanford, so nothing gets negotiated at a gate.

  • Your Party, Your Vehicle

A shared shuttle waits for other flights and stops at other ships. A private transfer leaves when your group is ready and drives to one terminal: yours.

  • Room for Cruise Luggage

Formal nights and a week of swimwear add up. You choose the vehicle at booking against your headcount and suitcases — up to twelve travelers and twelve bags in the Sprinter.

  • Car Seats at No Charge

Up to two car seats and two boosters come free. Ask for them in the booking form.

  • The Total Before You Pay

The booking form shows an all-inclusive rate for your itinerary before you confirm — no meter running east of the airport.

  • A 30-Minute Stop Included

Forgot the swimsuits? Every transfer includes one stop of up to 30 minutes on the way, requested at booking.
