The last morning of a cruise is the one part of the trip you do not control. The ship clears, your deck is called, the luggage comes off in its own time, and customs has a line of its own. A private transfer back to MCO works around that instead of asking you to be at a curb by a fixed minute.
You share the ship, the arrival date and the terminal when you book; once the whole party is off with every suitcase, you call or message and the car is brought into the pickup zone. From there it is about 45 miles to Orlando International, with the first 45 minutes or so of that behind the wheel. What decides a relaxed morning is the flight you choose, so this page spends most of its words on that.
The drive back
From the Pier to the Departures Curb
The run back to the airport is the Beachline in reverse: SR 528 west from the port, across the Indian and St. Johns rivers, into Orlando International's approach roads. The drive itself is the predictable part; the time before it and after it is not.

Your morning, step by step
Cabin to Check-In Counter
1
Book with the flight in hand
Add the ship, the arrival date, the terminal and your departing airline and flight number. The flight is what the pickup is planned around.
2
Walk off with everything
Collect every bag and clear customs first. Port security can stop cars from idling at the terminal, so the vehicle waits until your party is ready.
3
Call or message
Once the last suitcase is with you, let the chauffeur know. Thirty minutes of waiting at the port are included from the confirmed pickup time.
4
West on SR 528
About 45 miles to Orlando International. Ask at booking for one stop of up to 30 minutes on the way if the group needs lunch before the flight.

Half an hour of slack
Port pickups come with 30 minutes of complimentary waiting from the confirmed pickup time — room for a slow baggage hall.
Planned around your flight
Your departing airline and flight number go on the booking, so the pickup is set against the flight rather than a guess.
One vehicle for the week's luggage
Pick the size at booking — six large bags in a Suburban, twelve in the Sprinter — so nothing rides on a lap to MCO.
Paid before you sailed
Port Canaveral only admits commercial rides that are arranged and paid in advance, so the fare is settled before the last night aboard.
Car seats for the kids
Up to two car seats and two boosters come free; give each child's age, weight and seat type when you book.
Which Flight Time Works After a Cruise?
There is no single safe answer, and anyone who gives you one is guessing. Start with your cruise line's disembarkation guidance for your ship, add customs and the wait for your bags, then the drive of about 45 miles, then whatever check-in and security time your airline asks for on that day. A connection that only works if everything runs early is a connection to avoid. Confirm the timing with your cruise line and your airline before you book the flight; the car is then booked to fit it.
What Happens at the Terminal
Terminal pickup zones are run by the port, and security rules can keep a vehicle from waiting at the curb while passengers are still aboard. That is why the call comes from you: once the whole party has disembarked and has every bag, you call or message, the chauffeur brings the car into the pickup zone, and you follow the chauffeur's instructions from there. If you are running later than expected, say so — continued waiting beyond the included half hour is arranged by availability.
Round Trips and the Outbound Leg
If you also need the trip out, the booking form has a round-trip option: enter the return date and time and both legs are confirmed, each with its own pickup. The outbound leg — Orlando International to the port on embarkation day — is described on the homepage, including the permits and the drive east.
The cruise starts at the gangway. The 46 miles between a runway and that gangway are the part worth handing to someone else.
Permitted at the Port's Curb
Port Canaveral restricts terminal access to prearranged, permitted commercial transport. This service holds permits at the port, at MCO and at Orlando Sanford, so nothing gets negotiated at a gate.
Your Party, Your Vehicle
A shared shuttle waits for other flights and stops at other ships. A private transfer leaves when your group is ready and drives to one terminal: yours.
Room for Cruise Luggage
Formal nights and a week of swimwear add up. You choose the vehicle at booking against your headcount and suitcases — up to twelve travelers and twelve bags in the Sprinter.
Car Seats at No Charge
Up to two car seats and two boosters come free. Ask for them in the booking form.
The Total Before You Pay
The booking form shows an all-inclusive rate for your itinerary before you confirm — no meter running east of the airport.
A 30-Minute Stop Included
Forgot the swimsuits? Every transfer includes one stop of up to 30 minutes on the way, requested at booking.
FAQs
Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport Car Service — Common Questions
About 45 miles, with a driving time that starts at roughly 45 minutes. Disembarkation, customs, the wait for bags and airport security all sit outside that figure.
After your whole party is off the ship with all of its luggage. Call or message then and the car is brought into the pickup zone.
Thirty minutes from the confirmed pickup time. If you need longer, contact the booking desk and further waiting is arranged depending on availability.
The ship, the arrival date, the terminal if you know it, your departing airline and flight number, the passenger count including children, the bags, and a mobile number that works on the day.
Yes. The transfer includes one stop of up to 30 minutes along the route; request it when you book so it is built into the timing. Anything you buy is paid separately.
At least two hours before the pickup time, and the ride is paid online when you book. Reserving it together with the outbound leg means one booking covers both days.
