Two travelers, two legs

Gainesville lies 160 to 175 miles from the cruise terminals, and the operator puts the drive at 185 to 245 minutes. That is shorter than the transfers to Sarasota, Fort Myers or Naples, yet still three hours or more on the road alone. For a couple or a small party, a sedan with three seats and room for three bags may be all you need.

Most of the planning, then, is about timing and flexibility: when to be collected after the ship comes in, whether to reserve the outbound ride to the port in the same booking, and what happens if the cruise itself changes. Each of those has a clear answer in the operator's policies, and this page sets them out in order, starting with the numbers and ending with the cancellation terms.

Port Canaveral to Gainesville in Four Figures

The mileage and time are the operator's driving estimates between the port and Gainesville. The other two figures matter when your plans might move: how long before pickup a cancellation is still fully refunded, and how late a port pickup can be booked.

Both directions, one plan

Booking the Trip Out and the Trip Back

  1. Choose round trip

Select the round-trip option and enter the outbound and return dates and times, with the exact address at the Gainesville end.

  2. Get two confirmations

Each pickup is confirmed in writing on its own, and each counts as a separate service when it comes to cancellation timing.

  3. Off the ship on return day

Disembark and collect your bags, then get in touch; the port pickup comes with 30 free minutes of waiting.

  4. Stop once, then home

Use the free half-hour break if you reserved one, and ride the rest of the way to your address.

Right-Sizing the Car for a Smaller Party

A couple does not need a van, and a family of five will not fit a sedan. Start from people and bags, then pick.

A Transfer That Bends With Your Plans

Sedan-sized when that is enough

Two or three travelers with a bag each fit the sedan, a Lincoln Continental or similar.

Round trip in one reservation

Book the ride to the ship and the ride home together, with each pickup confirmed separately.

Changes without an admin fee

Edit the trip while it is still fully refundable and you pay no admin fee; price differences and direct costs still apply.

If the sailing is cancelled

When a cruise is scrapped before the car is sent, the fare can roll over one time into a year-long credit.

Nothing updates by itself

A new ship or date from the cruise line does not change the car booking; tell the desk as soon as you know.

Tipping is your choice

Gratuity is optional unless the booking total expressly includes it.

When Plans on the Cruise Side Change

Sailings get rescheduled, and a transfer booked weeks ahead has to follow. The car does not move on its own when a cruise line changes your ship or date, so write to the booking desk the day you find out. Amendments while the fare is still fully refundable come without an admin fee, though a different time or vehicle can alter the total. If the sailing is scrapped outright before the car sets off, the fare can be carried forward once, as credit usable within a year. Otherwise, the long-distance cancellation schedule described further down this page applies.

Picking a Pickup Time on Return Day

Two travelers with a suitcase each may be ready sooner than a big family, but the gap between the ship docking and the car pulling away is never zero. Leave time for your deck to be called, for arrival procedures and for bags. Then get in touch; the vehicle rolls into the terminal's pickup area when you are standing there ready, and you have thirty free minutes of grace. From there, allow 185 to 245 minutes of driving plus your stop. If someone is meeting you in Gainesville, give them a window rather than a fixed minute.

Cancellation Terms for This Route

This transfer is treated as long-distance service. In a sedan or SUV, calling it off two full days or more ahead is refunded completely, doing so one to two days ahead costs half, and anything later costs the whole fare. A Sprinter uses a 72-hour cutoff, after which the fare is fully charged. The clock runs back from the pickup hour on your confirmation, local time, and your notice counts once it arrives, whether by email to booking@saberlane.co, by WhatsApp or through the LimoFlow cancellation option. On a round trip, each leg is timed on its own.

Why private

Why Travelers Book a Private Ride to the Port

The cruise starts at the gangway. The 46 miles between a runway and that gangway are the part worth handing to someone else.

  • Permitted at the Port's Curb

Port Canaveral restricts terminal access to prearranged, permitted commercial transport. This service holds permits at the port, at MCO and at Orlando Sanford, so nothing gets negotiated at a gate.

  • Your Party, Your Vehicle

A shared shuttle waits for other flights and stops at other ships. A private transfer leaves when your group is ready and drives to one terminal: yours.

  • Room for Cruise Luggage

Formal nights and a week of swimwear add up. You choose the vehicle at booking against your headcount and suitcases — up to twelve travelers and twelve bags in the Sprinter.

  • Car Seats at No Charge

Up to two car seats and two boosters come free. Ask for them in the booking form.

  • The Total Before You Pay

The booking form shows an all-inclusive rate for your itinerary before you confirm — no meter running east of the airport.

  • A 30-Minute Stop Included

Forgot the swimsuits? Every transfer includes one stop of up to 30 minutes on the way, requested at booking.
