Homeward via SFB

Disembarkation morning and a departure from Orlando Sanford make an awkward pair: the ship decides when your day starts, the airline decides when it must end, and the road in between is the only piece you can schedule with any confidence. The published distance for the Sanford-to-port trip is about 55 miles; heading back is that journey reversed, so take the mileage and the driving estimate as approximate.

Your chauffeur does not idle at the curb while you are still aboard. You walk off, gather all of your luggage, get through customs, and then call or message; only then is the vehicle summoned to the pickup zone, with half an hour of complimentary port waiting counted from the confirmed time. Since SFB is not MCO, check which airport your ticket names before you reserve.

The mileage here comes from the published Sanford-to-port figures, applied in reverse, so read it as a guide. What no map can tell you is how long your ship takes to release your deck.

Road estimates leave out disembarkation, customs and the airport's own procedures. Settle on a safe flight time with your cruise line and airline, not with a driving figure.

Last morning of the voyage

Stateroom to Sanford

  1. Reserve before you board

Enter the ship, the date you return to port, and the airline and flight you are taking out of SFB. The pickup is planned backwards from that departure.

  2. Clear the ship completely

Every passenger off, every suitcase collected, customs behind you. Only then is the car called into the port's pickup zone.

  3. Send the signal

Call or message the chauffeur. Half an hour of complimentary waiting runs from the confirmed pickup time.

  4. On to Sanford

Around 55 miles to the airport. If you asked for a stop at booking, it can last up to half an hour along the way.

Fitting the Trip Home Into One Vehicle

If you shopped aboard or ashore, size the vehicle for what you are bringing back, not for what you left with.

Why reserve the ride to SFB

A Calm Finish to the Voyage

Routed to the right airport

The reservation names Orlando Sanford as the drop-off, so the last day holds no mix-up with Orlando International.

Called in when you are ready

The chauffeur enters the pickup zone after your whole party has disembarked, which keeps the pickup within port security rules.

Thirty minutes at the pier

Waiting at the port is complimentary for half an hour from the confirmed pickup time.

Your flight on the booking

Your outbound airline and flight number are recorded with the booking, and the pickup time is set to suit that departure.

Settled before sailing

Port Canaveral admits only commercial transportation that is prearranged and prepaid, so this leg is paid online ahead of time.

Help around the clock

Support for your reservation and your trip runs 24/7, in English or Spanish.

Choosing a Flight Out of Sanford

Before buying the ticket home, ask your cruise line what disembarkation timing to expect for your sailing. Then add customs, the luggage hall, roughly 55 miles of road, and whatever check-in and security margin your airline recommends at SFB. A tight connection is a gamble with nothing to gain; your airline and cruise line together, not a driving estimate, should decide whether a given flight is realistic. Once the flight is chosen, reserve the car to match it and put the flight number on the booking.

Leaving the Terminal on Arrival Day

The port controls who may stop at a terminal curb and for how long, which is why no car idles there while you are still waiting to leave the ship. The order therefore matters: disembark, gather the whole party and every suitcase, and only then contact the chauffeur, who brings the vehicle into the pickup zone. Keep a phone switched on and follow the directions confirmed for your terminal. If the morning drags, tell the chauffeur; the included 30 minutes start at the confirmed pickup time, and anything longer depends on availability.

Booking Both Ends of the Trip

If you flew into Sanford for the start of the cruise, the round-trip option in the reservation form covers both legs in one booking: add the return date and time, confirm the addresses, and each pickup is confirmed on its own. The outbound leg, from the SFB terminal to your ship, has a separate page with the Meet & Greet details. Reserving the return before you sail leaves one less thing to arrange on the final evening aboard.

Why private

Why Travelers Book a Private Ride to the Port

The cruise starts at the gangway. The 46 miles between a runway and that gangway are the part worth handing to someone else.

  • Permitted at the Port's Curb

Port Canaveral restricts terminal access to prearranged, permitted commercial transport. This service holds permits at the port, at MCO and at Orlando Sanford, so nothing gets negotiated at a gate.

  • Your Party, Your Vehicle

A shared shuttle waits for other flights and stops at other ships. A private transfer leaves when your group is ready and drives to one terminal: yours.

  • Room for Cruise Luggage

Formal nights and a week of swimwear add up. You choose the vehicle at booking against your headcount and suitcases — up to twelve travelers and twelve bags in the Sprinter.

  • Car Seats at No Charge

Up to two car seats and two boosters come free. Ask for them in the booking form.

  • The Total Before You Pay

The booking form shows an all-inclusive rate for your itinerary before you confirm — no meter running east of the airport.

  • A 30-Minute Stop Included

Forgot the swimsuits? Every transfer includes one stop of up to 30 minutes on the way, requested at booking.
