The ride home

Returning to The Villages is the one post-cruise trip with no flight waiting at the other end, and that takes most of the pressure out of the morning. What remains is distance. The published figures for the trip toward the port are 95 to 125 miles and roughly 130 to 175 minutes of driving; going home is the same journey turned around, so read those numbers as approximate. The pickup itself works like every port collection.

When every member of your party has disembarked and has every bag, get in touch on WhatsApp and head for the meeting point set for your terminal; the chauffeur then drives into the pickup zone. Waiting at the port is complimentary for 30 minutes from the confirmed time. Request the included stop, 30 minutes at most, when booking if you would like a meal before the final stretch.

Disembarkation day

Gangway to Your Front Door

  1. Book the return early

Before you sail, reserve with the date you arrive back, the ship, and your home address with its gate details.

  2. Off the ship, bags in hand

Wait until everyone in the party has disembarked and has their luggage; the car is not called in before then.

  3. Message on WhatsApp

Send a message, then follow the directions your confirmation gives for your terminal. Keep the phone on as the chauffeur approaches.

  4. The long road home

Two to three hours of driving. A half-hour stop, if requested, breaks it up, and the ride ends at your address.

The Right Size for the Drive Back

Coming home, room for the luggage and a seat you are happy in for two to three hours matter more than anything else.

After the last night aboard

Home Without a Connection to Make

Pier to your driveway

The car runs from the pickup zone to your address, with your gate or entrance instructions already on file.

Called in after you disembark

The chauffeur enters the pickup zone once your party and its luggage are off, in step with the port's security rules.

Half an hour at the port

Thirty minutes of complimentary waiting, counted from the confirmed pickup time.

A break on a long ride

Ask at booking for a stop of no more than 30 minutes — lunch before the last leg home, perhaps.

Settled before you sail

Port Canaveral requires commercial rides to be arranged and paid in advance, so the return is booked and paid ahead.

Support in English or Spanish

Help with reservations and trips already booked is available 24/7.

No Flight, but Still a Plan

Without an airline deadline, disembarkation morning loses its edge — you can leave the ship whenever your cruise line lets you, with no boarding clock ticking. The plan still matters, though. The car is booked for a pickup time, the chauffeur needs to hear when your party is really off, and a drive of this length goes better when everyone knows whether there will be a stop. Put the ship and the arrival date on the booking, keep a phone switched on, and send a message the moment you are ready.

Luggage on the Way Back

If you shopped aboard or in port, count what you are bringing home rather than what you packed: large cases, carry-ons, extra bags of souvenirs, and any stroller or mobility equipment. List all of it when booking so the vehicle suits the load. An overfilled car on a two-to-three-hour drive is uncomfortable for everyone. If you are unsure which vehicle fits, contact the booking desk before you pay; help is available around the clock.

When the Party Splits Between Homes

If you sailed with friends who live in another part of The Villages, list every address with its gate details when you book, so the itinerary and the total cover each one. The plan is confirmed in writing before travel. Remember that the outbound and return pickups are separate services for notice and cancellation timing, so a round trip still means two confirmed legs, each with its own details. And if your cruise line changes your arrival, tell the booking desk straight away — the transportation does not move on its own.

Why private

Why Travelers Book a Private Ride to the Port

The cruise starts at the gangway. The 46 miles between a runway and that gangway are the part worth handing to someone else.

  • Permitted at the Port's Curb

Port Canaveral restricts terminal access to prearranged, permitted commercial transport. This service holds permits at the port, at MCO and at Orlando Sanford, so nothing gets negotiated at a gate.

  • Your Party, Your Vehicle

A shared shuttle waits for other flights and stops at other ships. A private transfer leaves when your group is ready and drives to one terminal: yours.

  • Room for Cruise Luggage

Formal nights and a week of swimwear add up. You choose the vehicle at booking against your headcount and suitcases — up to twelve travelers and twelve bags in the Sprinter.

  • Car Seats at No Charge

Up to two car seats and two boosters come free. Ask for them in the booking form.

  • The Total Before You Pay

The booking form shows an all-inclusive rate for your itinerary before you confirm — no meter running east of the airport.

  • A 30-Minute Stop Included

Forgot the swimsuits? Every transfer includes one stop of up to 30 minutes on the way, requested at booking.
