Shortest run south

Of the drives south from Port Canaveral listed here, West Palm Beach is the shortest: 140 to 155 miles, with an estimated 165 to 220 minutes behind the wheel. That makes it a good fit for travelers who want a hotel stay on the coast after the cruise, or who simply live there. Shorter does not mean casual, though.

Palm Beach island and West Palm Beach are two separate destinations, and crossing to the island by bridge can add time, so the booking needs the actual hotel or home rather than the town name. If something is waiting at the other end — a check-in time, a meeting, a flight from the airport — note it on the reservation so the pickup leaves room for it. As with any port pickup, the car is summoned once everyone has left the vessel and reclaimed their luggage.

The mileage and time come from the operator and describe West Palm Beach itself. A hotel across the water on Palm Beach island, or the airport, adds its own last stretch.

Stage by stage

Your Coastal Transfer, Start to Finish

  1. Reserve with the real address

A West Palm Beach hotel, a home or the airport terminal — and whether it is on the mainland or the island. Add any arrival time you need to keep.

  2. Collect everything aboard

Once the group has disembarked, cleared arrival procedures and gathered its bags, contact the chauffeur, who brings the vehicle round to the pickup area.

  3. Choose your pause

One break of up to 30 minutes is included. If you would like more than one stop along the coast, add it to the itinerary before you pay.

  4. Arrive ready to check in

The chauffeur heads for the address on file; when it is on Palm Beach island, the bridge crossing forms part of the final approach.

Picking a Vehicle for the Coast Run

Nearly three hours in the car, often more, still calls for the right seats and cargo space — particularly when the trip ends at a hotel entrance.

A Stay on the Coast After the Cruise

Some travelers would rather not end a cruise at an airport. Heading south to a West Palm Beach hotel turns disembarkation day into the start of a few extra days, and a private car makes the move in one go, luggage and all. Give the hotel's name and street address, not just the city, and mention the check-in time if you want to arrive close to it. If a restaurant or an errand is on your list for the way down, the included stop covers up to 30 minutes; a longer break or a second stop should be added to the itinerary before you pay.

West Palm Beach or Palm Beach Island?

The two names are easy to confuse, and they are not the same place for a driver. Palm Beach island is reached by bridge from the mainland, and that approach can add time to the end of the trip. When you book, enter the exact hotel or residence, and if you are flying out from the area's airport, choose that terminal and add your flight's departure. The 140 to 155 miles quoted on this page are measured to West Palm Beach, so an island address or the airport sits outside that estimate.

Cancelling or Changing the Booking

Plans shift after a week at sea, so it helps to know the terms. On a long-distance transfer, the whole fare comes back if you cancel two days or more ahead of pickup; between one and two days out, half is charged; with less than a day to go, nothing is refunded. Sprinter bookings run on a 72-hour window. Adjusting the booking while the full-refund window is still open costs no administrative fee, although the new itinerary's own fare still applies. Cancellations must be sent in writing — by email, WhatsApp or the cancellation option in the booking system — and take effect when they are received.

Why private

Why Travelers Book a Private Ride to the Port

The cruise starts at the gangway. The 46 miles between a runway and that gangway are the part worth handing to someone else.

  • Permitted at the Port's Curb

Port Canaveral restricts terminal access to prearranged, permitted commercial transport. This service holds permits at the port, at MCO and at Orlando Sanford, so nothing gets negotiated at a gate.

  • Your Party, Your Vehicle

A shared shuttle waits for other flights and stops at other ships. A private transfer leaves when your group is ready and drives to one terminal: yours.

  • Room for Cruise Luggage

Formal nights and a week of swimwear add up. You choose the vehicle at booking against your headcount and suitcases — up to twelve travelers and twelve bags in the Sprinter.

  • Car Seats at No Charge

Up to two car seats and two boosters come free. Ask for them in the booking form.

  • The Total Before You Pay

The booking form shows an all-inclusive rate for your itinerary before you confirm — no meter running east of the airport.

  • A 30-Minute Stop Included

Forgot the swimsuits? Every transfer includes one stop of up to 30 minutes on the way, requested at booking.
