Coming from the north

From Jacksonville, Port Canaveral is a morning's drive: the operator's estimate is some 155 to 170 miles, or 180 to 235 minutes on the road, so three hours at best and close to four when traffic works against you. That is short enough to leave home on sailing day and long enough that the pickup time deserves real thought.

Begin with your boarding time as the cruise line issued it, subtract the full driving range and the stop you plan to take, then keep a buffer for the terminal approach. The notice required for a Jacksonville pickup is applied by the booking form for your address, so book early rather than testing the limit. And because you will need to get home afterward, this page also explains how both legs sit on one reservation and what happens to each if your plans change.

Booking Out and Back From Jacksonville

  1. Choose Round trip

Select the round-trip option, enter the Jacksonville address for the outbound leg, then the date your ship returns for the ride home.

  2. Give the ship's details

Enter the cruise line and ship, the sailing date, the boarding window, and the terminal when you have it. The outbound pickup is set around that boarding window.

  3. Receive two confirmations

You get written confirmation for each leg, each with a separate pickup time. The return, collected at the port, needs at least two hours' notice.

  4. Drive south on sailing day

Half an hour of waiting is included at your door, a stop lasting as much as 30 minutes is yours if requested, and the ride ends at your terminal's drop-off.

The Right Vehicle for a Three-Hour Run South

Choose with both legs in mind: the same people and the same suitcases make the trip out and the trip back.

What the booking covers

A Round Trip You Only Arrange Once

Two legs, two confirmations

Outbound and return are each confirmed in writing, so disembarkation day starts with a ride already in place.

Changes without admin fees

No administration fee is charged for changes made while the full refund still applies; only price differences or direct costs are passed on.

Room for a slow start

Your chauffeur waits up to half an hour free at a Jacksonville home or hotel while the last bags come down.

A woman driver on request

Women drivers are on the team and can be requested when you book, subject to availability.

The total, shown first

Before any payment, the booking form lays out the all-inclusive total for your trip; gratuity stays optional unless your booking includes it.

Separate Legs, Separate Deadlines

A round trip is really two services under one booking, and the cancellation rules treat it that way. Each pickup is timed on its own. For this long-distance ride in a sedan or SUV, a full refund needs at least 48 hours' notice before that leg's pickup; with 24 to 48 hours, half is charged; with less than 24, the full fare. A Sprinter, or any other high-capacity vehicle, uses a 72-hour window instead. The clock for all of this is the confirmed pickup time, on local time.

Choosing a Pickup Time on Sailing Morning

Do the sum on paper first. Take the boarding window from your cruise line, subtract the upper driving estimate of 235 minutes, subtract the length of any stop you plan, then subtract a cushion for the terminal approach and traffic you cannot see coming. What is left is your latest sensible pickup; anything earlier only buys calm. Enter that time in the booking form along with every passenger, children included, and every bag, and choose a vehicle that fits the whole load.

If the Cruise Changes

Sailings do get rescheduled. If your cruise line changes the date or the ship, the transfer stays booked exactly as it was until you tell the operator, so send the update in writing as soon as it reaches you. Should the sailing be cancelled ahead of dispatch, the reservation can be converted, one time, into a credit usable within twelve months. Before the full-refund deadline passes, a change costs no administration fee; after it, a larger change may be handled as a cancellation followed by a new booking.

Why private

Why Travelers Book a Private Ride to the Port

The cruise starts at the gangway. The 46 miles between a runway and that gangway are the part worth handing to someone else.

  • Permitted at the Port's Curb

Port Canaveral restricts terminal access to prearranged, permitted commercial transport. This service holds permits at the port, at MCO and at Orlando Sanford, so nothing gets negotiated at a gate.

  • Your Party, Your Vehicle

A shared shuttle waits for other flights and stops at other ships. A private transfer leaves when your group is ready and drives to one terminal: yours.

  • Room for Cruise Luggage

Formal nights and a week of swimwear add up. You choose the vehicle at booking against your headcount and suitcases — up to twelve travelers and twelve bags in the Sprinter.

  • Car Seats at No Charge

Up to two car seats and two boosters come free. Ask for them in the booking form.

  • The Total Before You Pay

The booking form shows an all-inclusive rate for your itinerary before you confirm — no meter running east of the airport.

  • A 30-Minute Stop Included

Forgot the swimsuits? Every transfer includes one stop of up to 30 minutes on the way, requested at booking.
